Quality is controlled throughout our investment casting process, from incoming material and wax preparation to melting, heat treatment, machining, final inspection and dispatch.
Our objective is not only to inspect quality at the end of production, but to control it throughout the manufacturing process.
Material chemistry, mechanical properties, dimensional conformity and casting integrity are verified according to customer and application requirements.
Material chemistry is verified using ferrous and non-ferrous base spectrometer facilities capable of analysing up to 32 elements. Heat chemistry is checked against the specified material grade before release.
Spectrometer analysisCast and machined components are inspected against customer drawings using appropriate measuring instruments, gauges and inspection fixtures. First Article Inspection and dimensional reports can be supplied on request.
Drawing conformityMechanical properties can be evaluated using a Universal Testing Machine with electronic extensometers. Tensile strength, yield strength and elongation are verified as required by the applicable specification.
UTM with extensometerBrinell and Rockwell hardness testing is available to verify material condition and post-heat-treatment properties against specified requirements.
Brinell and RockwellImpact testing is available up to 300 J to evaluate material toughness according to the applicable test standard and customer requirement.
Capacity up to 300 JCastings are visually inspected for surface discontinuities, incomplete filling, cracks, inclusions and other visible defects before further processing and final dispatch.
Stage-wise inspectionLiquid Penetrant Testing and Magnetic Particle Testing are available for surface defect detection. Ultrasonic Testing and Radiographic Testing can be arranged when specified by the customer.
NDT as requiredMaterial Test Certificates, chemical analysis reports, mechanical test results, hardness reports, dimensional inspection reports and applicable NDT reports can be supplied with dispatch.
